All three share the same core POD design — they differ in capacity, suspension, and how far off the beaten track they're built to go.

  • Utility — the everyday all-rounder. A strong, lightweight galvanised build that can be towed by even the smallest vehicles, and a great starting point you can personalise with accessories.
  • Discovery — the classic all-rounder, with the largest storage in its class at 1.75m³ and roof bars as standard for mounting sporting and outdoor gear.
  • Pioneer — the go-anywhere model, with high-clearance trailing-arm suspension, electric brakes and the highest load capacity, built for the roads less travelled.

Towing & Specifications

Capacity depends on the model and whether it's fitted with brakes. ATM (Aggregate Trailer Mass) is the most the fully loaded trailer is rated to weigh:

  • Utility — payload up to 430kg (640kg braked); ATM 750kg (1000kg braked).
  • Discovery — payload up to 390kg (600kg braked); ATM 750kg (1000kg braked).
  • Pioneer — payload up to 710kg; ATM 1250kg.

Always check the loaded trailer weight against your tow vehicle's rated towing capacity. Full figures are on the Technical & Specifications page.

The Utility and Discovery are light enough —750kgATM unbraked — to be towed by most small cars and SUVs, while the Pioneer's higher capacity suits larger vehicles. What matters is your tow vehicle's maximum braked/unbraked towing capacity and towball download; check these in your vehicle's manual against the model's specifications before you buy.

It depends on the model and configuration. The Utility and Discovery are available with an optional braked axle (10" hydraulic or electric), and the Pioneer comes with electric brakes as standard. In Australia, trailers above 750kg loaded generally require brakes — which is why the braked options exist. Your dealer can help you spec the right setup.

In most cases a standard car licence is enough to tow a trailer in this weight range, but towing rules, speed limits and equipment requirements vary by state and territory. Check your local road authority's requirements and make sure your vehicle is rated for the loaded weight.

The POD tub gives roughly 2100 × 1270 × 405mm(L × W × D) of internal space, with the curved lid adding around 390mm on average — about 795mm total internal height. The Discovery offers the largest storage capacity in its class at1.75m³. Integrated tub anchor points are rated to 230kg for tying down your load.

Yes — that's a big part of the ACTIVE POD's appeal. There's an extensive accessory range including water tanks, roof-mount and cross bars, jerry-can and gas-bottle holders, a front storage box, tub dividers, stone guards, integrated LED flood lighting, airbag suspension, stabiliser kits and more, so you can build a POD around exactly how you'll use it.

Every model includes the core POD essentials — a heavy-duty hot-dip galvanised chassis, the dual gas-strut POD lid with lockable latches, and rated tub anchor points — while suspension upgrades, braking, wheel and tyre options and the wider accessory list vary by model. Warranty & Support

Two layers of cover. The welded and galvanised steel structure is backed by a 5-Year Structural Warranty, and all other fixed components — including shock absorbers (where fitted), brakes, electrical, the tub and lid, and accessories — are covered by a 2-Year On-Road Warranty.
